Every purchase you make directly supports a life‑changing ministry of Bethel Gospel Mission in Sengulam Village, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India—a place where God has been faithfully at work for over two decades.

We are committed to giving 10% of every sale from Scripture Buddies to support this mission church and its growing vision for the village.

The Story of Sengulam Village

Sengulam was a village marked by hardship—land filled with thistles, bushes, and thorns, and families living in fragile hut homes. Very few people knew Christ, and hope was scarce.

Through God’s grace and the faithful work of the local church, Bethel Gospel Mission, Sengulam has been transformed.

Today, the village reflects God’s promise of restoration—like Canaan, flourishing with greenery, plantations, stability, and joy. Families now live in solid homes, livelihoods have improved, and the entire atmosphere of the village has changed.

A Church Built on Faith and Sacrifice

The Bethel Gospel Mission Church, located at the entrance of the village, has been a spiritual lighthouse for the community.

• Founded 24 years ago (celebrating 25 years in May 2026)

• Faithfully led by Pastor Paul and Pastor Jeyaraj

• This church was built through a vow made by Mr. Thavasikani and Mrs. Santhosamani. United in faith and sacrifice, they offered teak wood from their own farm and selflessly supported the church’s construction.

• The church building itself is a testimony—once a simple hut‑roof structure, now a permanent house of worship

What began with less than 0.1% of the village knowing God has now grown to an incredible 98.99% of villagers accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Over the years:

• 200+ people have been baptized

• Countless souls have been won for the Kingdom of God

• Families, generations, and the entire village have experienced spiritual and physical renewal

Our Ongoing Vision

The ministry’s work is not finished. With God’s help and your partnership, the next phase of transformation includes building:

• A School – to educate children with knowledge, values, and hope

• A Hospital / Medical Facility – to provide accessible healthcare to the village and surrounding areas

• A Library – to encourage learning, literacy, and future opportunities

These initiatives aim to serve the whole person—spiritually, physically, and educationally.
